Every member of our team has a huge heart. As a team, we try to give back and support our community as much as we can. We are still a small winery, so we sincerely hope you understand why we can’t donate to everyone who asks. Due to an overwhelming amount of requests, we have created simple and sensible guidelines for donation requests:
• The organization must be a 501(c)(3) or non-profit organization.
• Given our location and various alcohol regulations, we will only consider requests from organizations and events based in or taking place in North Carolina.
• The winery is unable to provide wine pours at your on-site location as a donation option.
• Requests should be submitted at least 30 days prior to the event to give proper time to evaluate the request.
• Complete requests include a description of the organization, its mission and major accomplishments, and a list of current board members and key staff.
• Nonprofit organizations should submit their tax-exempt letters from the Internal Revenue Service with their donation requests.
• Complete proposals will be considered quarterly by the winery team.
• Incomplete proposals or those with deadlines within 30 days of submission may not be considered.
• Once approved, requestors will need to coordinate a date and time for pick-up of donations as the winery is unable to provide donation deliveries.
• Submitting a donation request does not guarantee a donation.
Preferential consideration is generally given to requests where the following apply:
• The recipient is a local community organization in Gaston or Cleveland counties.
• Items donated will directly benefit the residents of North Carolina.
• Items donated will benefit a significant group of people (as opposed to a single person).
• The winery receives recognition for its donations.
Veronét Vineyards & Winery does not make charitable donations to for-profit organizations. For-profit organizations seeking sponsorship may submit requests which will be evaluated by the winery on a commercial basis for the advertising and marketing benefit such sponsorships would provide.
