Frequently Asked Questions

What are your open hours?
We are open 12pm - 6pm on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays. Please check our events calendar before you visit, in case of early closings or time changes due to private events.

What kinds of wine do you serve?
We focus on delicious, single varietal, dry wines. We may occasionally have a sweet wine or two on our menu, but the majority of our wines are not sweet. Please click here to view our current menu and tasting notes on each of our wines. As our own vines are still young, we partner with amazing family-owned, sustainably farmed vineyards in NC, VA, and CA to source grapes for great wines for you to enjoy! We are eagerly awaiting our first harvest in fall 2022!

Do you accept reservations?
All of our seating is first come, first serve and reservations are not accepted. If you would like to host a party or event with us, please email our events team at events@veronetwine.com for information about a private rental outside of our normal business hours. To ensure a wonderful wine experience for all guests, we do not allow hosted events during our open hours (to include kids birthdays, engagement parties, gender reveals, family reunions, bridal showers, baby showers, etc.).

Are wine tastings available?
We currently have our tasting flights available at both of our indoor bars daily until 5:30pm. The flight is three half glasses of your choice of three wines, and we also have some pre-set flight options if you have trouble choosing! Please click here to view our menu with wine & flight options.

What transport options are there for a visit?
Due to our rural location, Uber and Lyft are not recommended as transportation options for pick up from the winery. Please click here to view a list of recommended transportation services familiar with the estate.

Do you serve food?
We have charcuterie picnic boxes (snacking for 2 guests), made-to-order charcuterie boards (good for 4 guests), and snacks including nuts, dried fruit, and crackers available for purchase. You may click here to view our current menu. There is also food available for purchase from our food truck vendors each Saturday & Sunday. To view a schedule of visiting food trucks, please click here.

May I bring my own food to enjoy?
At this time, small snacks are permitted at our outdoor seating areas. No coolers are permitted on the estate. No outside food is permitted inside our tasting room. Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited. We are a private business that serves food and alcohol, not a park. Due to health code, we are unable to store, chill, or warm up any food you may bring.  If you would like to host an event with catering or large food platters, please reach out to our events team for policies and coordination via email at events@veronetwine.com.

May I bring a cooler for outside food & drink?
Coolers are not permitted on our estate. We are a private business that serves food and alcohol, not a park. Due to a high number of guests attempting to consume outside alcohol on the property, we are unable to permit coolers at any table. You are welcome to leave your cooler in your car and take out your snack items to enjoy at your table.

May I host a birthday or special occasion with décor at the winery?
To ensure a wonderful experience for all guests, we do not allow hosted events or outside décor during our open hours. You are welcome to visit and enjoy our wine with a small cake or cupcakes as part of your celebration; however, balloons, signage, tablecloths, floral arrangements, photo frames, banners, poster stands, catering, coolers, etc. are not allowed during open hours. If you are looking to host a party or special event at the winery please click here for our private rentals information.

May I bring my dog?
Yes! Leashed & well-mannered dogs are always welcome at our outdoor areas. Due to Gaston County Environmental Health policy, only ADA service dogs are permitted inside the tasting room. Dogs must remain in your control at all times, please do not tie them to anything. Dogs are not permitted on any of the furnishings or tables at any time, and please be sure to pick up after your dog. Any guests with an off-leash dog will be asked to leave the premises for the safety of their pet & other guests.

Are you family friendly?
Yes! Complimentary juice boxes & Goldfish crackers are available at the bar for children under 12 and we have non-alcoholic beverages including sparkling water, still water, and juices available for purchase as well. If you need a high chair, please don't hesitate to ask our staff for one. Guests under 21 are not permitted to purchase or consume alcohol at any time. Please be sure to supervise your children at all times as we are a working farm; children are not permitted to climb on or jump off of furnishings or go into the vineyard at any time. For the safety of all guests, outside lawn games, sports balls, and kites are not permitted on the estate. We do have cornhole board sets that we set out for guest use, weather permitting. Children are not permitted to be unsupervised at any time during your visit.

Do you serve other drinks besides wine?
Yes! We also have a rotating tap for craft NC beer, as well as non-alcoholic options including juice, sparkling water, still water, and soda. Please click here to view our full menu.

Do you offer table service?
All of our items are served bar style at one of our walk-up bars. Our associates will guide you through our menu, help you make your selections, and serve you right away so you may take your items to enjoy at your table. You may open a tab or close out immediately at time of purchase. All tabs left open at end of day will receive an automatic 20% gratuity charge.

Does your outdoor seating have cover?
Outdoor seating has minimal to no cover in most areas, and our picnic tables & lawn chairs offer no protection from wind or rain. During the summer our tables are covered by shade sails or cloth umbrellas, however these do not offer rain protection. Please check the weather and plan for your visit accordingly.

May I bring my own chairs or blankets to sit on?
Yes! Guests are welcome to bring their own chairs & blankets to sit on our lawn areas. Please note that beach umbrellas, pop up tents, golf tents, tables, and any items that require staking into the ground are not permitted.

May I play background music on my own device?
To ensure a wonderful experience for all guests, we do not allow for guests to play amplified music on their own devices while visiting.
